Online again

Much to my children's delight, my new laptop arrived today (so they no longer have to give up their computer when I wish to log on and check the blogs...).

And I do like this Vaio. Itsy bitsy, but big enough. Comfy keyboarding. Fits in the laptop backpack I already have.

My cold is starting to subside, thankfully. I've got a scout campout I'm the responsible person for tomorrow night.

Nah, I'll probably use pen and paper myself, out of dinosaurish habit. My college years pretty much predated computers... the Commodore64 acquired through marriage made my senior year simpler, but that was anything but portable!

okay, the whole being able to check your email causing bad grades is a myth. i did just fine and i not only checked email, but surfed the web, and used instant messengers during every class, every day. i didn't use a laptop in undergrad but needed to in law school just to keep up with the fast pace. otherwise, i would have missed a lot of notes. i'm a painfully slow handwriter.
