The passing of a good man
Those who read this blog (on those occasions when I manage to find time to write) know that I am a practicing member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or in other words, a Mormon.
Tonight, a very good man passed away. His name was Gordon Hinckley. He was a prophet of God, and my life has been very blessed by his teachings and example. He taught of the Savior, Jesus Christ--of his Love, Grace, Atonement, and the Hope that Christ makes possible. And that, my friends, is the most important message anyone can share.
Sorrow is tempered by the knowledge that he is reunited with his beloved wife, Marjorie, and has been welcomed home by loving arms saying "well done, thou good and faithful servant."
